As we march at a frantic pace through the first month of the new decade, it is an opportune time to reflect on the last year and last decade for the team at the Back Room Chiropractic Clinic.
2019 was a vintage year for us: we celebrated a lot of milestones. Last year marked the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Back Room and we remain humbled and grateful that our little family business is so well established in Moseley and continuing to grow.
On a personal front, a decade celebration of a different kind: Ben and Narinder celebrated ten years of marriage: we reflected on how momentous 2009 was for us: a new adventure professionally and at home. The summer brought wonderful celebrations for Daphne as she married Bert in a joyous midsummer ceremony. We all have much to be grateful for this year.
We endeavour to support charitable work whenever we can, and this year, Ben and his family were delighted to run the Keep The Beat Mile. All four of Family Smith (the youngest crew member being just 4) completed the race, though the most junior party came through the finishing line on her Dad’s shoulders! Keep the Beat is a Leicestershire charity which supports families of children with congenital heart conditions; Ben and his family have experience of how important their support has been to their friends.
It is important for Ben to keep up to date with training in chiropractic. He likes to be aware of all factors that could add to the patient experience at the Clinic. In 2019, his focus was on understanding chiropractic in the context of health care as a whole. One of his learning highlights last year was attending the Primary Care and Public Health Conference at the NEC. This multidisciplinary event enabled him to network and learn from colleagues working in many varying health care professions.

And so we look forward to 2020, a new decade, new opportunities and working on continuing to provide the best service that we can.
A Happy New Year to you all.
